Summer = Relax

My “toe” shoes have been working great. I feel relieved when I put them on. I did some jogging in them and they held up well. I will attempt to run soon I hope, but I will be riding my bike more often now that I have gotten it from my house. I haven’t had it with me for a long time now, because of my last apartment’s size it was difficult to store inside. Having moved, I can now store it inside safely!

I have noticed a lot more bikers around Austin. The rising gas prices have pushed people to commute via pedals. I have been keeping track of my gas usage for a long time now. Since my last post on miles per gallon, I haven’t made an update yet, but I plan to soon!

In other news I have been enjoying my internship and learning a lot more than I thought I would. The extra money is nice too. Speaking of money, I am not “feeling” anything changing with the economy. I hear of these people losing their homes because they cannot afford the mortgage payment on their $400k mortgage when they make $20k a year! Common now!

Besides paying more at the pump, nothing has changed for me. I have always been a froogle consumer and always go for the best bang for my buck. I am not taking any classes this summer! I needed a break from the constant push for the last few semesters. It should help me be rested for the final push to graduate!

Around Easter I purchased the full MacGyver DVD collection. Sadly I have finished watching each of the 139 episodes. I seek new low cost entertainment; I am looking at NetFlix again.

Cheap entertainment is easily found in gaming. But I have almost given up on computer games. I was waiting for a game, Supreme Commander to come out for a while. I purchased it and tried to play online but I was met with a lot of angry people and lag. This was caused by my computer not having 8,000 cores. So the game sits on the shelf and the only game I play on my computer is Team Fortress 2.

I invested in an Xbox 360 though. This has been a wise choice because it is much cheaper than a PC upgrade and the games will look good for the next two to three years. That is all I have, a longer update than normal and my “gamer info” is below!
