..time to take a break. I have a hard time relaxing after a semester, it is difficult to get into the mindset that I do not have to do anything for a little while. I had a good semester. Some fun classes and fun projects.

Thanksgiving is soon!

About two months ago my phone decided to stop staying on for more than a few hours idle and would not let me make a five minute phone call. I was pretty angry and I wasn’t sure if it was because I had dropped my phone or if it was the battery. If it wasn’t the battery it would be an expensive fix, new phone. So I waited and thought about it but after a few weeks of the phone going off randomly and missing important phone calls I purchased a new phone battery.

I used Google Checkout for the first time and I was happy I didn’t have to create a new count for the site I purchased from. The first site I purchased from was a big hassle. I purchased it from them and didn’t get an update on my order for about two weeks. Finally they emailed me and said they canceled my order, great. I ordered from another site and I had the battery in a couple of days. Now my phone works just like new!

I purchased Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii. I have collected about 25 stars, the game is a lot of fun and a challenge sometimes when you think it easy. Very good game! The controls are easy to understand, the graphics are really amazing for the Wii. I also got Team Fortress 2, very fun game! My computer runs it well, no need for an upgrade…

I have a few classes next week before Thanksgiving. I have to take a test and work on the next project, a lot of programing. Then once I come back I have a bunch of tests. The first week I will have one final and two exams for two other classes. The week after that I will have another exam. Then it will be almost time for finals, what fun!

I went to the Red Bull Flutag event in Austin. It was pretty cool, spur of the moment thing so I was not able to bring my nice camera. The pictures are still nice, I’ll have to put a few in the gallery soon(lost my password!), very cool event! I’ve started playing a little tennis lately. It is pretty good exercise and a good way to relax a bit during the weekends. Not Wii tennis, but real tennis… I also got a projector, it works nicely with the Wii and the image is fairly large. I haven’t tested out anything larger than about 42″.

I had some time to mess with Ubuntu and tried to install it on two laptops, but I was not able to make the wireless work for both Dell laptops. There is going to be a new release soon, hopefully they will fix the issues and I can try Ubuntu!

I got a free Zune, thank you Microsoft! 30gb holding all my music and a few movies! Very nice, much better than my iPod. Also the new software update for the new Zunes will also be for the old 30gb Zunes, yay!

Today marks three years from my first post.

I have a few Wii games and I figure I could give some feedback on them so others could know if they would like the game or not. I will post them during my time off in about two weeks.

I had about a week off for the 4th of July. During my “vacation” I went to the Kwik E Mart and got some Buzz cola. Sadly I wasn’t able to get any Krusty Os or the comic book that I have seen pictures of. I believe this Kwik E Mart will return to a 7-11 in August. I think it would be cool to keep it a Kwik E Mart, I don’t see any harm in leaving the very few 7-11s converted to a Kwik E Mart for a year or more. During my time off I also spent some time playing Mario Party 8 and relaxing.

Last week I got RE4 for the Wii. I have played about five hours so far and it is great, well worth the $30. The game was sold out at most places; I had to go to “ghetto” Walmart because they were sold out in the nice Walmart. Nobody at ghetto Walmart buys Wii stuff… some brave souls also ventured to ghetto Walmart but for Mario Party 8, because it was sold out at both.

I might be heading to QuakeCon this year, for a short time. I am going to try to go Friday and leave Saturday; hopefully I will get something cool. In two weeks I want to take a vacation somewhere, I’m not sure where or what but I need a break for a few days so I can get back to working hard in September. I’m not sure where to go though…

A few weekends ago I went to a soccer game in Houston to watch Mexico play vs. Costa Rica. The game was pretty good; I had only seen one other pro soccer game in person before this one. I took a bunch of pictures, including a picture of the goal Mexico made. This past Sunday I had a BBQ with friends and watched Mexico vs. USA, USA won. It was a good game, many close shots by both teams.

Summer is going well, the 10 hours of class is really not that bad. I enjoy my programming class a lot; we are learning C and C++, they are nearly the same language. Circuit class is fun as well; we will start a few labs that we will build circuits in. We already started the first one; I will post some pictures of the finished product. Last class, diff eq is pretty good as well. The class is straight forward and I understand everything we do fairly easily.

I am not sure what I will do for the fourth of July yet, but I defiantly want to set some fireworks off!

It has been 730 days +/- a few hours/minutes/seconds.

I would like to have a nice meal today. I have been eating sandwiches for the last week, by choice, I am lazy.

I have a lot to do the next few days and vacation is over.

Update: I added the gallery, hopefully everything works. View using Firefox, I don’t care to make it look nice for IE. Enjoy.

I got bored yesterday so I decided to change the gallery. I am adding an image for each album, I think the images will be more attractive. Navigation will be nearly the same as the old gallery but for now, I will not have sub-albums, not a big deal. I have attached a few preview pictures; I will add a few more as I complete the gallery. Input is welcomed.
